Physical Education Progression

This track is recommended for students that are looking to maximize their athletic opportunities in middle school, high school and outside leagues. These students wish to strike a balance between course loads that meet their graduation requirements and their athletic commitments, efforts and time.

Students will become health literate and practice responsible behaviors to promote healthy lifestyle and healthy living.

 

Fitness Gr 6 (P.E.) 1508000Z: (Sem.)

Students learn the rules and strategies of throwing and catching skills related to striking and serving objects in various shapes sizes, textures, and weights in individual and team sports as they enjoy playing organized athletic games with other students.

6th Grade PE can be exempt if form is completed and submitted.

7th Grade Courses

Students develop the physical skills necessary to be competent in many forms of movement, knowledge of team sports concepts such as offensive and defensive strategies and tactics, and appropriate social behaviors within a team or group setting. The integration of fitness concepts throughout the content is critical to the success of this course.

 

Comprehensive Gr 6/7 (PE) 1508060Z: (Sem.)

Students develop the physical skills necessary to be competent in many forms of movement, knowledge of team sports concepts such as offensive and defensive strategies and tactics, and appropriate social behaviors within a team or group setting.
