6th Grade Courses

Orientation to Career Cluster 8000400Z: (Semester)

In this class, students explore different Career Clusters and learn how their interests connect to real careers. Students develop important workplace skills and start creating a foundation for future academic and career planning.

 

 

7th Grade Courses

Coding Fundamentals Part 1 9009200Z: (Semester)  

In this semester class, students learn about technology hardware, software, problem solving and introduced to coding concepts like sequencing, loops and conditionals. This is a hands on course, where students will use building kits, robots, and electronic devices.  

Coding Fundamentals Part 2 9009200Z: (Semester)  

In this semester class, students will continue to build on their understanding of coding concepts. This course uses game design and theory to guide all assignments and activities. Students will be designing, creating and coding games in a wide range of platforms and applications.

8th Grade Courses

Coding Fundamentals Part 1 9009200Z: (Semester)

 Discovering Computer Science 0200384Z: (Year Long)

This high school level course, will count as a math or science credit but does not replace specific graduation required math or science courses. This year long course student will learn that computer science is everywhere. This is a hands on course, that will guide students to explore their creativity, learn designing and building concepts, practice coding and prototyping a wide range of products prevalent in their everyday lives. Students will acquire industry skills in digital 2D design, 3D modeling, electronic circuits, robotic components, AI concepts, and a wide range of coding editors and systems.
