Details about Testing:
Thank you parents for all the support you provide your child all year round with their academics! We appreciate you encouraging them to do their best for testing and getting them to school on time. We know testing can be stressful, but we work hard to create a calm testing environment by encouraging students to relax and do their best. These state and district level assessments assist us in gathering important data that helps our school determine student growth and understanding of the learning standards that are being taught. It also helps us to make instructional decisions to best support our students.

State Testing: We are completing make ups for FSA Writing. In May we will have the following state testing: FSA ELA & Math/Civis, Alg 1 Hon, & Geo Hon EOC / 8th Science FCAT. We will post student rosters by Tuesday 4/27 through MyLearning so all students know when and where they are taking which test. Teachers will also share this information with the students face to face and it will be posted in the cafeteria.

District Testing: In addition to FSA, District level assessments occur during the month of April and May for ALL students. These include the NWEA for Language Arts, Math & Science, the Algebra Readiness assessment, and Civics Inquiry assessment. All subjects that do not have a state test will have a district final in May.  Please stay tuned to our SSMS website and social media for the May State and District testing schedule which will be posted this week. https://ssms.pasco.k12.fl.us/testing-basics/
