In order to protect the health and safety of employees, staff, and students, all those who access Pasco County School locations must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should NOT be on a school campus or school district office. All three self-screeners – the Student Self-Screener, the Employee Self-Screener, and the Visitor Self-Screener – are accessible from the district’s COVID-19 protocols page and are posted on each school web page.

We thank you for all your support and understanding with this.

PBIS ROAR! At SSMS, our Jaguars strive to ROAR everyday all day! We encourage and recognize positive behavior at SSMS through our school wide positive behavioral interventions & supports (PBIS) framework. Through our common language that we use across the school; Respectful, On-Task, Acts-Appropriately, & Responsible, we provide positive feedback and award PBIS reward points in the PBIS rewards app. Students will then be able to cash in those points for incentives! Our R.O.A.R Reward store has been such a success since getting this going in February! Students can start buying incentives through the PBIS app. (found on your child’s myPascoConnect dashboard) Friday through Wednesday each week and they will receive the reward during lunch on Fridays. This week, ask your child to pull up the app and show you how many points they have earned, ask them how they are earning the points, and the positive feedback they have received! March ROAR focus is Acts-Appropriate! April focus in Responsible! We will recognize the students in each grade level who earned the most point through our PBIS rewards app for each month on our school news and social media!

COVID Reminders:  In order to protect the health of our employees, staff and students, students & visitors must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If your child answers yes to any of these questions they should not be on campus.  Student Self Screener Please remember, if you take your child for a COVID test, please communicate with our clinic (Mrs. Copeland or Mrs. Cefalu) and students are NOT to be on campus as they await their COVID test results. If they are well enough to continue with their learning, they can access ZOOM or continue working through myLearning and email their teacher with questions. A face covering is required on all school buses, in all District buildings, in all school buildings and during all school-sponsored events and activities. This requirement is applicable to all students and to all employees, parents, and visitors entering the buildings and/or attending a school event. The face covering must cover your nose and mouth completely. The SSMS staff continue to remind our students of the proper way to wear masks in class and as they move through our campus, if students do not adhere to these district policies progressive discipline will be implemented. We appreciate your support with reminding your students of these policies.

We put a lot of communication on our social media sites, please be sure to like our Facebook pagefollow us on Twitter and check our website weekly!

Thank you for your continued partnership. Have a great week.
